The Chain Network > FAQ

1. Once I’m a member of the Child Chain Registry, can I access my information from anywhere?

ANSWER: Yes, you can access your information from anywhere that has internet access. The Internet Protection Agency created the Child Chain Registry this way so that if you’re on vacation and your child goes missing, you can go to any computer with internet access, enter your encrypted password and access your child’s information.

2. Is my information safe in the Child Chain Registry?

ANSWER: Yes, the Internet Protection Agency goes to great lengths and expense to secure our registry. The entire Chain Network is protected by 128 bit encryption and on its own dedicated servers. We feel that any child in the registry is like our own child and will continue to be protected in that way.

3. How will my children be safer if I become a member of The Chain Network?

ANSWER: It’s a three part answer. The Child Chain Registry provides a place to store all of your child’s information in the event something happens that requires quick access to all of your child’s updated information. As members of the law enforcement community, the founders of the Internet Protection Agency know how important quick access to your child’s information is. Seconds can be the critical difference in the recovery of a lost or abducted child.
Check Chain can help parents find their kids online. (My Space, Xanga, Face Book)
Chatter Chain is the Internet Protection Agency’s answer to My Space. We have created a place for anyone under the age of 18 to socialize, post a profile, music, games, etc. Because we require a credit card for sign up, our law enforcement professionals will monitor the content and activity on Chatter Chain. All inappropriate activity will be investigated and handled accordingly.

4. Will I be able to find my child in online journals such as My Space if they lie about their name or other information?

ANSWER: No, if a teen creates a profile somewhere online and lies about all of their information, no one will find it unless you search for the fictitious name or information. However, as a member of the Child Chain Registry, you will be able to search online for all of your child’s information entered in the registry, with a click of a button.
